How It All Began...

We're not just sisters, we are lifelong best friends - but we do each have our own lives. We each have full-time jobs as Registered Nurses, and families of our own (Lisa's family may be a bit furrier than mine,) but still - life is busy. We were making time for each other by getting together fairly regularly to work on jigsaw puzzles together, a hobby we have gotten no end of enjoyment from since 2019 when we were introduced to puzzling by a friend of a friend. This was all well and good, but eventually we got to talking... How could we use our time together in a still fun, but more productive way?

We tossed around a few ideas, but nothing sounded quite right. And then it hit us! We both enjoy cleaning, and people will pay you to clean! Don't get me wrong, I don't love cleaning that much, and my own home is not spotless by any means. I struggle with motivation just as much as (or perhaps even moreso than) the next guy, but once I get going... There is just so much satisfaction in a job well done, it's worth every moment! So, it was decided - we'll start our own cleaning company. The idea was great - very little overhead (cleaning supplies, branded t-shirts and a few other marketing materials, insurance, etc.) and we could control our own schedules. Remember, we do still have full-time jobs, outside of the cleaning business!

We started from scratch, with virtually no budget to speak of, doing some research to make sure we knew what we were getting into, and offering free cleanings to family and friends as "practice." Then it became time to name our business. A few ideas were considered, mostly playing on our 'sisters' relationship, or healthcare-adjacent puns to pay homage to our other jobs. Then I was reading in Matthew 23...

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside will also be clean." (Matthew 23: 25-26, NIV)

And so, Clean Inside Co. was born in early 2025, and with the name came a much bigger vision. I quickly began to envision our little company not only helping people to have cleaner homes, but someday we could also help promote cleaner bodies, minds & spirits. Our shared medical background (with a combined 25+ years of professional nursing practice,) and strong Christian faith provide an excellent foundation. Our lived experiences, with all of the highs and lows of life, make for perfect building blocks. Suddenly, it was like all of the puzzle pieces began to come together.

We hope to cultivate a space here where you can find exactly what YOU are looking for. Whether it be cleaning tips or home decor inspo, healthy recipes or workout motivation, encouragement, Scripture or book recommendations, this is one place where you will see it all!
